Humayun tomb or Humayun ka maqbara is a historical monuments in Delhi. It was constructed in 1565-1572 by Empress Bega Begum in the memory of his husband, and the architect of the tomb was Mirak mirza ghiyath and his son. The architecture of the tomb was inspired by Persian style. The tomb made up of red sandstone and marble. Humayun tomb is a UNESCO world heritage sight since 1993.

History of Humayun tomb

Architecture of Humayun tomb

How to reach Humayun tomb

The easiest way to reach Humayun's tomb is by metro and the nearest metro station is JLN stadium which is one the violet line and the nearest bus stop from Humayun tomb is Police station Nizamuddin (Lodhi road) bus stand. It is open on all days from sunrise to sunset and the entry charge per person is 30rs and 500rs for foreign tourists.
